Halloween Cats

Happy Halloween!  For today’s manicure I have black cats on orange nails.  To create this look, I first applied L.A. Colors base coat-top coat followed by two coats of Wet N Wild’s Creepy Pumpkin.  Creepy Pumpkin is such a pretty orange that has tons of sparkles.  This is definitely a color I would wear again and not just for Halloween—despite the cute tombstone bottle.  For the cats I stamped on Wet N Wild’s Black Crème using stamping plate m46.  I hope you all enjoy and have a fun and safe Halloween!

Halloween Spider Webs

Halloween is just around the corner.  This is such a fun time of year.  It almost seems to kick off the holiday season.  To celebrate I created a Halloween spider web manicure.  Here is my inspirationI started with a base coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat).  I then sponged the tips of my nails with Pure Ice Hot Tamale.

When the orange polish was dry, I painted over it with L.A. Colors Sassy Sparkle.  Sassy Sparkle added nice green, yellow, and blue glitter to the orange Hot Tamale.

When this was completely dry, I used a dotting tool and N.Y.C. Black Lace Cream to create the spider webs on my thumb and ring fingers.

Pink & Black Shatter

For this mani I started with a base coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat).  I then painted my nails Flirty Pink by Love My Nails.  When this dried, I swept on OPI’s Black Shatter.  Finally, I added a top coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat).  I like to use Love my Nails polishes (as well as Pure Ice polishes which are also from Bari Cosmetics) because they are smooth, easy to use, affordable, and come in great colors.  This shatter polish was the first OPI polish I have ever purchased.  I like the effect this polish creates and I am looking forward to trying more OPI polishes as well as more shatter/crackle polishes.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I love painting my nails and at times can be a bit obsessed (as my husband to be would put it) or passionate (as I would prefer to call it).  Either way I am happy and excited to be doing this blog.
