I am
participating in a Halloween nail art contest by Julep. I decided to create a manicure based on Julep’s
Patti nail polish. Patti is a black
polish with silver hexagon and fine silver glitters. It is a well loved and well used polish in my
house. I thought this polish would look
perfect with some skulls.
I started my
look with a base coat followed by two coats of N.Y.C. Black Lace Cream. When this was dry I added one coat of Julep
Patti. Julep Patti has great coverage
all on its own. I chose to layer it over
another black polish just to extent the use I get out of this awesome color. When this was dry, I added a layer of top
coat to protect my polish if I made any mistakes stamping.
To add the
skulls with the bones on my ring and thumb fingers, I stamped using Salon
Express Nail Art Paint in Snow White and Bundle Monster plate BM-225. For the rest of my nails with the skulls I
stamped using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and Bundle Monster plate BM-211. I finished everything off with one more layer
of top coat.
I love the
way these nails turned out. The black
with the silver glitter works well with the skulls to create an awesome
Halloween manicure. If you are looking for
some Halloween inspiration you can check out this Halloween manicure tutorial
created by Julep.
Julep has a
whole range of nail polish colors. You
can see their new nail polish color page here. You can find Julep Patti here. If you are not already a Julep Maven (where
you can customize and receive nail polish goodies every month you choose for a
fee), you can use my invitation code and sign up here. Right now Julep is offering a free 4-piece
gift when you sign up with code FREETREATS.
