Born Pretty Store Water Decal C 066 Review

(Born Pretty Store Water Decal C 066 was sent for review)
Today I have some more water decals from the Born Pretty Store to share.  These are the Nail Art Water Decals Transfer Stickers Red Series Rose Pattern Sticker in C 066.  It includes lots of lovely roses in red, purple, light and dark pink, as well as a few leaves.
I started this manicure with a base coat, and then painted on one coat of N.Y.C. Pink Champagne.
When that was dry, I used reinforcement labels and Salon Express Nail Art Paint in Snow White to create a French tip.
I cut out red roses from the water decal sheet, and then peeled off the plastic covering.
One by one, I placed the roses into the water and, after a few seconds, I slid the backing off and placed them onto my nails.  You can check out my water decal how to here.  When this was dry I added a top coat to help prolong my manicure.
I love this manicure.  It has a dainty look to it.  The Born Pretty Store water decals are perfect to add beautiful, intricate looking roses very simply.  I was intimidated by water decals, but now that I have tried them a few times myself, I am really impressed and would definitely use them again.  You can find the water decals I used in this manicure here.  The Born Pretty Store has more water decals and lots of other great products on their website.  To get 10% off your order, you can use my discount code SNDX31.

NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow

(NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow was sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
There was a NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow included in my Jolly VoxBox.  I received number 781 Long Beach Sands.  It consists of a light neutral colored highlighter, a cocoa colored all over lid color, and a light brown crease color.

I applied all three colors to my eyelids using the cute applicator included with this trio.  The colors went on easily and blended nicely.  I really love these colors.  I think they are very wearable and versatile.  The NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow takes the guess work out of picking coordinating eye shadow shades since the colors included already go so well together.
NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow sells for $2.99.  You can visit NYC New York Color on Facebook here and on Twitter @nycnewyorkcolor.  For more on the NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow check out Twitter #HDColorTrio.

NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm

(NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm was sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
My Influenster Spring Fever VoxBox included an Applelicious lip balm from NYC New York Color.  I received Big Apple Red.  Like the name suggests this lip balm is tinted red.  The red tint is not overpowering yet it is noticeable.  I love the look this lip balm provides.  In the middle of the lip balm there is a cute apple shaped core which is made up of shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and avocado oil.  I love that this core is included because I can really feel the moisture and smoothness it provides my lips.  The lip balm also has a nice apple smell to it.

Of all the products included in my Spring Fever VoxBox, I was most excited to try the NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm and I was not disappointed.  You get a hint of color and moisture in a cute and good smelling lip balm.  There are 10 shades and each one costs $2.99.

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

The first item I noticed when I opened my Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox was NYC’s IndividualEyes Custom Compact.  This compact comes with a primer base, an illuminator, four eye shadow colors, and an applicatior.  My compact is 0156-08 Dark Shadows.  The four eye shadow colors are a white highlighter, a light gray all over lid color, a medium gray crease/contour color, and a dark charcoal gray crease/contour color.  The back of this compact has instructions on how to apply the colors as well as application techniques (seen if you lift the label on the back).

I started with the primer base.  I used my finger to apply it to my eyelids.  The primer started out creamy and dried powdery.  Next I applied the light gray all over lid color to the bottom part of my eyes using the applicator.  For the crease of my eyelids, I used the medium gray crease/contour color.  I then applied the white highlighter to the area under my eyebrows.  Lastly, I applied the dark charcoal gray crease/contour color to the outer corners of my eyelids.
This compact is great.  You don’t have to buy several different products because everything you need is included.  The eye shadows in this compact are also color coordinated so you know they will look good together.  NYC’s IndividualEyes Custom Compact retails for $4.99 and can be found at chain drugstores throughout the nation.  This is a great price and a product definitely worth checking out!  You can find NYC New York Color’s website here.

Halloween Spider Webs

Halloween is just around the corner.  This is such a fun time of year.  It almost seems to kick off the holiday season.  To celebrate I created a Halloween spider web manicure.  Here is my inspirationI started with a base coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat).  I then sponged the tips of my nails with Pure Ice Hot Tamale.

When the orange polish was dry, I painted over it with L.A. Colors Sassy Sparkle.  Sassy Sparkle added nice green, yellow, and blue glitter to the orange Hot Tamale.

When this was completely dry, I used a dotting tool and N.Y.C. Black Lace Cream to create the spider webs on my thumb and ring fingers.
